Identify What Works in Your Marketing and Do More of It!

One of my clients is having fantastic success with the following:

  • Moving single donation supporters to become perpetual donors
  • Increasing the size of each donation
  • Getting supporters to stay engaged
  • Generating major gifts
  • Uncovering hidden bequests and generating leads for planned giving discussions

Alternatively they are not having such tremendous success with the following:

  • Acquiring new donors
  • Getting supporters to attend their events
  • Increasing the involvement of their supporters on Facebook

So where do you think they decided to focus their attention strategically in 2015?  The areas in which they were NOT having tremendous success. Bad idea!

Rule of thumb for smart marketers: When something isn’t working, don’t try to force it. Instead, when you identify what works in your marketing, do more of that first! Especially if it involves major gifts and bequests!!
