After briefly explaining our focus on major and legacy gifts, our donor tracking technology, and engagement fundraising philosophy, the person said, “Oh! So you’re really like a good vampire… you use your powers (special words and designs) to sort of hypnotize people into letting you suck their blood (money).”
“OUCH!” I thought to myself.
But then I started thinking she may be on to something. After all, there ARE good vampires like The Count (Sesame Street) and Bill Compton in HBO’s successful series True Blood.
