5 Simple Steps for Fundraising Success Thanks to Marc Pitman

A Welcome Discovery!

I came across this terrific little book while I was home, nursing a really bad cold this past week. I bought it a long time ago but somehow failed to read it. Duh! Big mistake!

It’s titled Ask Without Fear, written by Marc Pitman and it’s a dandy! At just 98 pages you can read it in one sitting— and you’ll be glad you did.

Here’s one of the many brilliant concepts you’ll find in its pages:

  1. Figure out who is most likely to respond to your story (your organization’s story);
  2. Give those people an opportunity to tell you their story;
  3. Show them points of intersection with your story;
  4. Ask if they’d consider investing in one of those points of intersection;
  5. Then, go tell that story of philanthropy to the next person.

To get many more jewels like that straight from the source I recommend you get his book. It’s less than $15 and would make a super holiday present for your best friend, boss or board.
