Video is powerful.
But you’re probably thinking, “Yeah but making a good video is time-consuming and expensive.”
Guess again! Here’s a video we whipped up to promote legacy giving for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). All we needed were some photos and some true stories.
How can you do it too?
1. Use Powerpoint
Use a nice picture like a sunset or a field as a background. Then add the photos and text using the animation tools so they fade in and fade out nicely. Then add music. And, finally, save it as a movie.
2. Ask for a volunteer
Perhaps someone else on your staff or one of your volunteers would want to help. Maybe you could try posting the project on Facebook. Then send them the stories and photos and let ’em go to work.
3. Use Upwork, Airtasker or Guru
There are sites such as Upwork. Airtasker and Guru that you can use to hire freelancers at very reasonable rates. Just describe what you want, upload your photos and text, and lots of folks will bid on the project.
