3 Things You Must Define to Receive a $5 Million Gift

A friend of mine recently asked for a $5 Million gift.

THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY!

But in terms of the money required to make the vision of this organization a reality, it’s a small piece of the pie.

If your org isn’t receiving large gifts, one of the things you should be asking yourself is this… “Do we need it?”

The answer could be that you don’t need very large gifts, and that’s ok.

However, if you want to close large gifts, there are a few things you need to get in order.

  1. Define the vision.
  2. Define the cost to achieve that vision.
  3. Define the timeline.

If you don’t have these 3 things, you’re going to struggle to raise big gifts.

Do you have the vision in place with a cost to achieve it and a timeline to accomplish it?

If you don’t wake up every day FIRED UP to go make that vision a reality, then you probably don’t have it defined or you may need to move to a different org/cause.

Life’s too short to wake up bored!
