Kevin started working at a nonprofit while he was a student in college. He was given the blessing and curse of being in an office by himself with a simple goal: go raise money. Because of this autonomy, he got to follow his instinct that the most effective use of his time would be to schedule visits with the organization’s top benefactors. Over the course of the next 5 years, he went on over 1,000 visits, consistently set new major gift fundraising records each year, and fell in love with visiting with benefactors.
Today, he runs One Visit Away, a consulting business helping leaders of nonprofits schedule more and better visits with their benefactors. Kevin’s goal is to help fundraising professionals constantly seek to deepen their relationships with their benefactors.
