What was that all about?
Well, I sincerely would like to know what you think. But, also, I thought I’d present a simple way to show you the power of the word “you”.
Most organizations write about how great they are by using the word “WE”. And their direct mail letters too frequently use the word “I”. A good, simple measure of the effectiveness of your fundraising/marketing communications is to count the number of times the word “you” is used.
Bottom line: It ain’t about you… the donor is the hero. The donor is important. Make sure you allow them to feel that way.
