If your answer was, “No, I donate my time… I work here!” I think that was the wrong answer.
Socrates once counseled: “Let him that would move the world first move himself.”
For fundraisers, I think he meant that someone who is charged with asking another for a donation should do some donating on their own first.

Funny you should post this… I just donated yesterday to our new initiative, on top of my unrestricted monthly gifts!
YES! I give a bi-weekly gift to the local affiliate I work with as well as donate to special campaigns such as #Giving Tuesday, year-end, etc. In addition, I give a monthly gift to our national organization. I think it’s important to support the charitable organizations where one works. As a development person, how can I ask others to donate to a cause I myself don’t support?
Our affiliate also has a robust employee giving campaign with about a 90% support.
