The 3 Buckets of Donor Engagement

3 buckets for engagement fundraising
Author and consultant Susan Howlett says, “We spend too much time asking people for money and not enough time engaging people deeply in our work.”
Bucket #1- Easy tasks that can be done by anyone [even simple tasks like setting up chairs prior to an event]
Bucket #2- Inviting people into deeper conversations about our work [such as having donors study a particular subject and then having a discussion about it in one donor’s living room]
Bucket #3- Asking people to think with us and become experts on our behalf [in highly focused Webinars, personalized strategic events, focus groups or surveys]
When supporters help they get happy and you raise more money!  Good stuff!!
